Asseco, a Polish software company is to partner with Ethiopian information technology companies to establish a software developing company in Ethiopia. Asseco is  Europe's seventh largest software developing company.

“Our focus is it to expand in Africa, particularly Ethiopia,” Dariusz Brzeski, member of the company's supervisory board, said.

According to Brzeski, his company had a  meet with Ethiopian government officials two months ago and have agreed to establish a software company in Ethiopia.

Asseco's representative also said, they are looking for local software developing firms to partner with and once it finalize the selection process the company will start operation within three to six months time.

In addition to working with the banking and financial sector, Asseco is also targeting the Ethiopian public sector, providing software solutions to the education and health care sectors.
