TAF Oil Inaugurated its First Fuel Station in Addis Ababa

TAF Oil PLC opened its first fuel station in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The station is located in Mekanissa area. The opening ceremony was held on Saturday, March 9. TAF is planning  to open eight additional fuel stations in Tigray, Amhara, Oromia and Gambella Regional states of Ethiopia.

TAF was established in 2008 by three  with 56.3 million birr authorized capital. TAF Oil commenced operations in January 2011 in Gelan, Oromia Special zone. In less than two years TAF has increased the number of its fuel stations to 18, located in the capital and  different regional states.

The company targets areas where there is an acute lack of fuel delivery. “That’s why we started operating in regional states first,” Alemayehu Tsegaye, General Manager of TAF Oil, told Capital.

Tsegaye on the inauguration ceremony announced, TAF has finalized preparations to open eight other fuel stations in Moyale, Dila, Bale Robe, Temben, Woreta, Bako, Jimma and Gambela, to increase its total number of fuel stations to 26.

The construction of the fuel station has consumed more than 26 million birr and has created more than 100 job opportunities with the multiple services the fuel station provides including, a supermarket, cafeteria, car wash, and tire services, according to the manager.
