Hotel Nazrawi to be Inaugurated in May

Hotel Nazrawi to join the Ethiopian hospitality industry in time for the African Unions golden jubilee. The ten storey hotel, built on Gabon Avenue at a cost of 150 million birr is scheduled to be inaugurated the coming may.

Negussie Awgechew, general manager of Hotel Nazrawi said that the Hotel is has a panoramic view and offers services of a modern restaurant, a roof-top bar and fitness facilities including a spa and a morocco bath. The new hotel has 55 rooms including presidential suite and executive suite.

“The hotel aims to offer different and extraordinary facilities.  The Hotel management is set to open in early May 2013 with fifty five fully-furnished world class suites and rooms and has a well-trained professional staff,” he added. “We have observed and gained experience from the services provided by hotels in other countries to accommodate and provide the best possible service and facilities to our guests,” Negussie said.

With Addis Ababa becoming attractive destination for international conferences and events, Ethiopia's thriving hospitality industry has seen a growing number of high standard hotels in the capital, Addis Ababa.However, even with the hotel boom observed in Addis Ababa,  the demand and supply gap is still huge, according to experts.

The hotel will create job opportunities for over 60 employees, with a possibility to employ more people when the hotel start operations with full capacity. Hotel Nazrawi is owned by a prominent businessman, Wondwossen Mengistu, who is also owner of Nicon PLC, a logistics company.
