High Participant Turnout at the AACCSA Trade Fair

The 17th yearly Addis Abeba Chamber of Commerce & Sectoral Association trade fair has witnessed unusually high turnout of foreign companies participating in the trade fair to exhibit there products, services and look for local representatives in Ethiopia. Participant are also searching for market in Ethiopia.

The trade fair, which will be concluded today, attracted a little more than 300 companies out of this 213  are foreign companies. Companies from Italy contribute the largest share of foreign participants with 58 companies exhibiting there products and services. Turkish companies are also paying attention to the fair with the participation of 28  companies this year.

International companies are showing a growing interest to participate in the trade fair according to Gashaw Abate, trade investment promotion director at the AACCSA, companies from India are already negotiating to exclusively reserve a pavilion at the Addis Abeba Exhibition Center. He expects that the deal will be finalized by August, for the 18th fair.

Turkish companies, specializing in pharmaceuticals, furniture, IT, agriculture, food stuff and construction material, have shown the same interest as the Indian companies to book exclusive exhibition space says Gashaw, but formal negotiations are yet started.

AACCSA, which began organizing the international trade fair in 1995, is expecting the attendance of more than 28,000 people to visit the trade fair which will be concluded today.
