The Ethiopian Quality Award announced that it has finished its preparations to start the registration of organizations for the third national quality award at the end of the year.
The registration will start in the mid of December 2012 according to Michael Melaku, managing director of EQA.
Manufacturers, constriction companies, service providers, profit making and non-profit making organizations are all invited to compete. EQA has also prepared a self assessment manual for competitors for the first time this year according to the announcement.
The final selection is to be made by a 22 member jury deliberating on the reports to be conducted by a technical committee which is expected to consist of representatives from higher educational institutes, NGOs, and private and public organizations.The reward for the winners consists of the prestigious excellence award, merit award, and an appreciation and certificate.
All participants will receive what is regarded as beneficial, feedback summarizing their strength and highlighting areas in need of improvement.
The EQA is planning to hold a forum at the Ghion Hotel, on the 11th of December to discuss the details of the competition.
