The 5th Ethio Chamber International Trade Fair will be launched this week according to the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce
and Sectoral Associations. The fair will be held under theme ‘‘Buy Ethiopian.”
The event is expected to help promote local goods and to encourage experience sharing according to Gashaw Debebe, Secretary-General of Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations.
Domestic producers can become more competitive in the global market. He said it will also contribute to import substitutions as well added Gashaw.
35 companies are expected to take part in the week-long event. 50 international firms are expected to be part of the 350 companies that will be taking part in the 5th Ethio-chamber international trade fair, explained Endalkacew Sime, Deputy Secretary –General of the Ethiopian Chamber.The trade fair is expected to attract additional participants with more and more visitors attending it every year noted Addisu Tekle, Communications and International Relation Department Manager with the chamber.
Domestic producers including cooperatives, manufacturers and suppliers are expected to take part in the 5th International Trade Fair explained Addisu Tekle.
