Samsung Electronics will launch a week long promotional event from the 18th of October in Ethiopia. The event will be held 
at the Sheraton Addis Hotel. The event will concentrate on technological innovation, entertainment and social development according to sources.
Samsung is committed to social development as evidence by its investment in technical schools in the country according to Tadewos Awel, Country Manager with Samsung East Africa.
The company expects to introduce new technologically innovative products at the week long event said Tadewos. The new range of products will be offered at special prices he added.
The program will also include an orientation about the dangers associated with counterfeit products to raise awareness on the seriousness of the issue explained Tadewos. The company exhibition at the time will represent every detail he noted.The event, to be held at the Sheraton will also concentrate on the need for social development and the ways that the company is taking part as well as providing a range of entertainment activity said Tadewos.
Samsung Electronics Ltd is an internationally recognized producer of digital media, telecommunications, semi conductors, and digital convergence media. The company had consolidated sales estimated at 143.1 billion US dollars in 2011.
