Diaspora Business Men to Share Ethiopian Award

The 2012 Pioneer Ethiopian Diaspora Business Person Award will be shared by Tadiwos Getachew, Founder and Chief Executive of Boston Partners and Zemedeneh Negatu, Managing Partner of Ernst and Young, Ethiopia and Head of Transaction Advisory Services for Ernst and Young LLP in East Africa.

The award organized for the second time by an Ethiopian Diaspora business and investment group will be held on the 14th of July at the Grand Hyatt Washington according to a statement released by the organizer.

Tadios and Zemedeneh are acknowledged for being inspirational role models for other Diaspora business people by being introducing innovation in their respective sectors and by taking risks in untested areas noted the statement.

The seventh annual Ethiopian Diaspora Business Forum will also be held on the same day at the Jack Morton Auditorium of the George Washington University said the statement.

The Forum will concentrate on innovation in business and investment specifically discussing the ICT revolution in Ethiopia, as well as Finding Innovative Financing Solutions to Investments in Ethiopia and Innovation and Investment in the Hospitality Industry explained the organizers.

The Forum will also organize a jobs fair in collaboration with Info Mind Solutions which is engaged in employment related services in Ethiopia and around Africa.

It is expected that the Awards Dinner, the Forum and the Job fair will be well attended by Ethiopians and non Ethiopian interested in investment opportunities in the country said the press statement.

The events will be an opportunity to showcase the contribution of the Ethiopian Diaspora to growing trade between Ethiopian and the United States said Yohannes Assefa, Founder and Executive Director of the Forum.
