Ethiopian Airlines Awards ICS Contract to ADAT

Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopia’s flag carrier, has awarded a seven year contract for Integrated Component Solutions services to the Boeing 737NG fleet to Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies, the largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul service provider in the Middle East and a part of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network.

The contract covers a total of 19 aircraft, eleven of which are the fleet of B737NG aircraft and eight new aircraft on order.

ADAT will provide repair cycle management and pool access coverage supported by the combined Integrated Component Solutions experience and capabilities of ADAT and SR Technics.

The company is pleased that Ethiopian Airlines has chosen ADAT to support its 737NG fleet for the coming seven years said James Stewart, CEO of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network.

The contract is an endorsement of the quality services offered by the company and the benefits the network offers its customers in all parts of the world he noted.

The agreement represents a significant entry into the African market that will be important to the industry in the coming decade as airlines modernize their fleet he concluded.

The agreement between Ethiopian Airlines and ADAT is planned to extend cooperation in the MRO sector and to take advantage of their synergetic resources explained Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive of Ethiopian Airlines.

The contract is one aspect of the broader cooperation between the two companies and is expected to enable Ethiopian MRO to enhance its ability to dispatch reliability, reduce maintenance cost and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain management he explained.
