Ethiopia: Meta Introduces New Beer Product

Meta collaborated with the Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS) and Summer Media to launch Meta Boost, a business program which provides opportunities for micro, small, and medium business owners to learn about utilizing digital tools for business. The program also helps business owners to get insights on how to create meaningful relationships with customers.
During Meta Boost’s trial period, more than 7 thousand small and medium-sized Ethiopian businesses were trained on how to use Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to grow their business.

Two companies owned by 2 multinational corporations investing in Ethiopia, Heineken Brewers SC and Meta Abo SC, have gone to litigation. Such was following the suit instigated by Meta Abo against Heineken.
Metals and Engineering Corporation (METEC) inaugurated Construction Machinery Assembly and Manufacturing Factory on May 19, 2015 at Debre Berhan Town, Ethiopian Herald reported.
Ethiopia's Metal and Engineering Corporation (MetEC) is planning to sell the two vessels, ‘Abay Wonz’ and ‘Abyot’, it acquired last year from the Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise (ESLSE).
Initially, MetEC planned to use the ships to transport its own cargo before using them as scrap metal, however, the corporation changed its plans after experts confirmed that the vessels are still operable, Brigadier General Kinfe Dagnew, Director General of MetEC, told Capital.
