Ethiopia: HPR Ratified 33 Million Birr Loan Agreement

Ethiopia’s federal legislature, House of Peoples’ Representative, ratified a 33 million Birr loan agreement which will be used to modernize the government’s financial administration system.
A 3.73 Billion Birr loan agreement with the China EX-IM Bank was ratified by Ethiopia’s legislature, House of People’s Representatives (HPR). The loan is secured for the upgrade of the 210 Kilometers Dire Dawa – Dewalle road project.
House of Peoples’ Representatives (HPR) has endorsed yesterday, July 1, 2015, three loan agreements, according to Ethiopian News Agency.
The federal legislative organ, House of Peoples Representatives (HPR), ratified two agreements the Ethiopian government concluded with International Development Associations (IDA) for the finance of productive safety net project and the regional pastoral livelihood resilience project. The finance agreements sum is USD 675 Million.
