Export and Import Bank of China (EXIM Bank of China) promised 1 billion USD loan for the construction of industrial park in Ethiopia. The industrial park once its construction is over, is expected to host Chinese enterprises.
The expansion work Ethiopia is undertaking on the Bole International Airport (BIA) is expected to be completed by 2018. Upon commencing giving service it is expected to triple the number of passengers the airport handles every year.
Expansion work being carried out on transformer manufacturing plant which is owned by Ethiopian Power Engineering Industry (EPEI) has reached 95 percent completion rate.
Experts convened on May 8, 2015 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to do the ground work for Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA), Ethiopian News Agency reported (ENA).
Export abattoir built by nine Ethiopian Diasporas in Somali State has gone operational. The abattoir, whose capital investment is 172 million Birr, has the capacity to slaughter 2000 cattle per day.
The abattoir was inaugurated by Livestock and Fisheries State Minister, Gebregziabher Gebreyohannes (PhD) and President of Somali State, Abdi Mohammed.
