Ethiopia: ECX Traded 2.2 Billion Birr Worth Commodities in October
Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) traded commodities worth 2.2 billion Birr during the month of October. The traded commodities were all in all 37,222 tons.
Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) traded commodities worth 2.2 billion Birr during the month of October. The traded commodities were all in all 37,222 tons.
The Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) said it transacted 2.65 million metric tons of commodities over the past five years. According to a statement posted on its website, the total sum of all commodities traded at the ECX has reached 90 billion Ethiopian birr. 
Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) transacted commodities that were worth 26.5 billion Birr in the just ended fiscal year. The commodities transacted were a total of 621,538 tons.
The latest Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX) membership auctioned was concluded by Orchid Business Plc’s winning for a price of 1.6 million Birr. The price Orchid offered is 12 fold of the original seat value.
The Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Ethiopia Office will hold their fourth High Level Forum of Phase II of the Policy Dialogue on Industrial Development on 30th July 2013, EDRI announced.
According to a statement EDRI sent to Ethiopian News Agency, the forum is the fourth event in the series of Phase II of Policy Dialogue on Industrial Development between Ethiopia and Japan. It said the event will focuses on strategic Foreign Direct Investment promotion and technology transfer.
