Debre Berhan City has reported strong investment growth in the first quarter of 2024/25, with 24 investors securing new licenses and registering a combined capital of Birr 2.6 billion.
The Debre Birhan City Administration announced that investment licenses have been granted to developers who registered a combined capital of Birr 10 billion during the past quarter.
Debre Birhan Town Administration said it has licensed investors with 12 billion Birr capital in the last three years.
The Debre Birhan Industrial Park, which rests on 1,100 hectares of land, has been inaugurated. The industry park stands with eight production sheds completed, the office of the Prime Minister said in a tweet.
Debre Birhan city is set to inaugurate 24 factories that will create employment opportunities for thirty thousand citizens. According to the city’s Industry and Investment Office, Debre Birhan is hosting 550 investments that have a collective capital of Birr 80 billion.
