The newly built smart car parking in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, has begun trial operation. The car parking building was built at an outlay of million Birr and it is located in the neighborhood commonly known as Megenagna.
Addis International Bank (AdIB), reported 27.2 million birr profit after tax, a 272 percent increase compared to a year earlier, Fortune reported.
The AdIB’s interest on loans, advances, central bank bonds, treasury bills and deposits rose by 166 percent, to reach 32.3 million birrr. The bank earned 52.6 million birr from non-interest income, such as gains on foreign exchange dealings, service charges, commissions and others.
Adika is going to start a meter taxi service by September using 50 automobiles, which includes cars it acquired from Sheger City Meter Transport S.C.

Afar Regional State inaugurated its Mining Development Corporation on Tuesday with an initial capital of Birr 500 million.
According to the Regional State, the Corporation will mainly engage in the mineral trade with the aim of building an institution which will be able to compete both locally and globally. The Corporation is tasked with supporting the economic transformation of the Regional State and Ethiopia by identifying and utilizing Afar’s mineral resources.
