Addis Ababa Revenues Authority announced that a new taxpayers’ office is to be opened for tax payers who generate annual revenue of Birr 40 million or more. Deputy Director of the authority, Ato Atakilt Gebregziabher, said they were searching for an office space for the new branch which had proximity to the center and with services such as parking and reliable internet connection. He said, “The new office will help us deliver quality service. We are currently identifying and assessing tax payers’ files.” Until now, 800 taxpayers’, who will be served at the new branch, are recognized by the authority.

Addis Ababa City Sanitation Management Agency reported progress in waste recycling during the first nine months of the 2023/24 fiscal year. Out of the 587,000 tons of solid waste generated in the capital, 67,510 tons were recycled, representing an increase from previous years.

Addis Ababa licensed 2,537 new investors in the first ten months of the current Ethiopian fiscal year, according to the Addis Ababa City Administration Investment Commission (AAIC).

Communications Director Meseret Woldemariam stated that the Commission also renewed licenses for 2,760 investors during this period.
