Ethio Telecom announced that it had made 4G LTE mobile internet service accessible for 181 towns across Ethiopia. Under its Phase-III 4G LTE Service Network Expansion Strategic Plan, it has made 67 towns beneficiaries of the service while implementing a network expansion project for 27 towns. Some of the towns where a 4G service was launched under the Network Expansion Strategic Plan include Babile, Bati, Gursum, Chinaqsen, Degehabur, Hargele, Bedessa, Deder, Gelemso, Kulubi. Mieso, Akista, Bati, Chefa Robit, Arerti, and Cheha.
