Ethiopia's Central Statistics Agency projected that the price of food items will lower during the next three months. The Agency has also reported that the rate of inflation for the month of October has decreased to 34.2 percent, from the 34.8 percent the previous month.

Ethiopia's coffee industry exported 210,000 tons in just 10 months and raked in USD 1 billion, according to the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA).

Ethiopia's coffee exports reached USD 716.35 million during the first eight months of the current fiscal year, according to the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority. This represents 67% of the initial target of USD 1 billion in revenue from coffee exports within the same timeframe.

Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority reported strong coffee production and export figures for the first nine months of the 2016 fiscal year. Over 174,596 tons of coffee were exported, generating revenue of USD 835,230,000.
