The Ethiopian government announced plans to generate USD 2.3 billion revenue from the export of textile products in GTP II period, according to the Daily Monitor.

Ethiopia is to delay the implementation date of the universal health insurance law for six months which was scheduled to be started this August. 
The delay was attributed to lagging behind in setting up legal frameworks and operational manuals, and staffing, Fortune reported quoting an expert with the Ethiopian Health Insurance Agency.

The postponement has been communicated to all public institutions in a circular two weeks ago.

Ethiopia delayed submission of documents, including its service offer, for its fourth round of negotiations with the working party members of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Fortune reported.

The submissions has been originally scheduled for September, however, it has been postponed for an unspecified time as the documents are not finalized yet.

Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resource (MANR) disclosed it has prepared 13 million hectares of land across Ethiopia to be cultivated in Meher season.

The Ministry of Construction (MoC) disclosed it has prepared a plan to modernize Ethiopia’s Construction sector in the GTP II period.
