Ethiopia Earned USD 114 Million from Horticulture

Ministry of Mines disclosed in the first six months of the current fiscal year, Ethiopia earned a total of USD 157.4 Million from the export of mineral products.
Ethiopia earned USD 2.1 billion USD from exported products against the estimated 3.66 billion USD. According to Wondimu Flate, PR Head at the Ministry of Trade, a 1.58 billion USD deficiency was observed during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year.
Ethiopia has Earned close to USD 2.2 billion from export during the past nine months of the current Ethiopian Fiscal year. The figure showed a 2.8 percent increment compared to the same period during the past year.
Coffee still remains Ethiopia's leading export commodity fetching USD 513.8 million, followed by gold at USD 432.1 million and oil seeds generating USD 314.5 million.
Ethiopian Ministry of Mines announced, the country has earned USD 308.7 million from the export of gold supplied by artisanal miners in the past 8 months of the Ethiopian Fiscal Year.
During the period, traditional gold miners has supplied more than 5 thousand kilo grams of gold to the National Bank of Ethiopia.
