Ethiopia Earned US$ 300 Million from Minerals Export

Ethiopia has secured over US$ 60 million revenue from export of textiles and garment during the first half of the current budget year, the Textile Industry Development Institute said.
Ethiopia obtained US$ 80 million revenue from leather and leather products export during the first half of the current budget year, the Leather Industry Development Institute (LIDI) said.
Ethiopia has earned over US$121 million in revenue from various minerals supplied to the National Bank of Ethiopia and overseas markets in the first quarter of the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
Ethiopia has earned US$123.44 million from export of leather products in the concluded Ethiopian Fiscal Year, according to the Ethiopian Leather Industry Development Institute.
Wondu Legesse, Director General of the institute, told Walta Information Center today that the export earnings came from finished leather products such as, footwear, gloves and other products.
