The Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) announced it has constructed, upgraded and maintained 1,128 kilometers of road with 17 billion Birr cost during the last nine months of the Ethiopian fiscal year, Walta Information Center reported.
Addis Ababa is hosting the 5th Agrofood and Plastprnitpack International Trade Fair. The four-day trade fair is being held at Millennium Hall and will close on June 11. Ambassadors, business sector leaders, and invited guests, including Minister of State for Industry Mr. Hasan Mohammed attended the opening ceremony.
The fifth International Multi-disciplinary Conference and Workshop is to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia starting from December 14-18 December 2015, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
A joint venture company of Rifeng China and Rifeng Ethiopia is to construct the first aluminum pipe factory in Ethiopia with a 380 million Birr capital in Debre Brehan, Amhara Region. It is expected that the factory, which will be built on a 10,000sqm plot of land with a plan to expand to 15,000sqm after the beginning of production, will produce 381,000m to 211,000m of pipe a month. It will produce pipelines that are 60m to 100m long along with their fittings. The company plans to finish the construction of the factory within a year’s time and to start production in 2019.
The Holland Africa Poultry Partners in partnership with the Netherlands – African Business Council, are organizing the first “Ethiopian poultry mission to the Netherlands” from October 6 – 12.
The mission, organized with an aim to bolster the collaboration between all important stakeholders in Ethiopian poultry sector, is expected to bring together the key players from the Ethiopian and Dutch poultry sector.
