Techno Brain, custom software application development company, signed agreement with the Ethiopian Transport Authority to digitize the issuance of driving license. The new system will include bio-metric features which will make forgery difficult.

Issuance of driving license has been a problem for the Authority due to concerns of forgery and duplication, Zelalem Worku, pre-sales consultant with Techno Brain, said told journalists during a press briefing event.

Techno Brain Group, a digital solutions company, signed a partnership deal with Ethiopian based Green Agro solutions PLC to provide digital agriculture insights to over a hundred thousand smallholder farmers in Arsi Zone of Ethiopia. The technology aims to help the farmers make decisions based on precision agriculture informative insights.

Crescent Tech, a technology service center, is to inaugurate a Hewlett Packard service center to serve organizations and large networks in Ethiopia. The center will service international brand computers and was set up for a total capital 80 million US dollars.

Crescent is a gold partner of HP but is ready to provide services to other brands as well explained Nathnael Mamo, Accounts Manager with Crescent.

The service center will provide services including backup and recovery problems that Ethiopian organizations had to call in professionals from abroad for according to Nathnael.

Tecno Group, a mobile phone assembly and production company in Ethiopia held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday for its phase III factory in Addis Ababa, Walta information Center reported.
