Dalol Oil Share Company, Ethiopia has formally announced the official launch of its sixth fuel station in Suluta.

The new station is located on 3500m2 in a joint investment with a local investor at a cost of 4 million birr.  

The opening of the 6th fuel service station as well as a depot marks the official launch of the company said Esayas Eyesuswork, Chief Executive of Dalol Oil. The new service station expects to provide all kinds of fuel, lubricants, shops washing facilities and cafes.

Dalol Oil S.C. disclosed it will start supplying alternative energy products for Ethiopia’s manufacturing sector by importing coal and petroleum coke (pet coke) this fiscal year.

The main Dam at the Kesem Kebena sugar irrigation project has successfully retained water. The current water reserve in the dam retained in the last weeks of the rainy seasons is enough to irrigate a 20 thousand hectare sugarcane plantation in the Afar Regional State said Alemayehu Tegenu, Minister for Water and Energy.

The Water Works Construction Enterprise has been working around the clock to finish the project by the end of the rainy season it was noted.

The dam which has the capacity to retain 500 million cubic meters of water will be completely finished in the coming weeks according to Alemayehu.

Dangote Group, Africa’s leading industrial conglomerate, has announced a major expansion in Ethiopia, reinforcing the country’s growing appeal as an investment hub.

Dangote Industries PLC applied for silica exploration license in Ethiopia. Silica is the major raw material for glass manufacturing. Dangote applied for the mining license to establish a glass manufacturing plant.

Dangote has also commenced work on cement manufacturing plant in Ethiopia. The cement factory, located in Mugher town, will have a production capacity of 1.5  tons per annum.
