Ethiopian Airlines Group, the fastest-growing airline brand globally and the continent’s leading airline brand, has been crowned with ‘The Best Airline in Africa’ title at the prestigious SKYTRAX 2023 World Airline Awards during the Paris Air Show held in France, Paris on June 20, 2023. It is the sixth time in a row that Ethiopian Airlines has been recognized as the Best Airline in Africa at the SKYTRAX World Airline Awards.
Ethiopian Airlines and Liege Airport have agreed to extend for another 5 years their win-win partnership for the transport of air cargo between Africa and Europe.
Ethiopian Airlines has renewed its long-term strategic partnership with Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), the leading software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry, for another seven-year term with a minimum commitment of $110 million. As per the agreement, Ethiopian will continue using Sabre’s passenger service system, SabreSonic, enabling it to automate sales and service, helping it to maximize revenue opportunities and create efficient airport experiences for travelers.
The Ethiopian Resort and Spa, Kuriftu, has requested from the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) a 400 Million Birr loan for an expansion work at its resort in Debrezeit.
Ethiopian Airlines, the largest Aviation Group in Africa and SKYTRAX certified Four Star Global Airline, resumed commercial flights to Mogadishu, Somalia after 41 years. Ethiopian will fly three times a week to Mogadishu.
