Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s leading aviation group, is pleased to announce that it has won the 2022 APEX Regional Passenger Choice Awards for ‘Best Entertainment’ and ‘Best Cabin Service’ in Africa. The award was held in Dublin, Ireland to celebrate airlines being honored with the 2022 APEX Regional Passenger Choice Awards. The awards recognize airlines in various regions for providing the best passenger experiences as rated by passengers.
Commenting on the awards, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said “We are very glad to have won the 2022 APEX Regional Passenger Choice Awards for ‘Best Entertainment’ and ‘Best Cabin Service’ among African carriers. As a customer-centric airline, we do our best to exceed passengers’ expectations when it comes to the service we deliver onboard our fights. The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade announced that Ethiopia expects join the World Trade Organization (WTO) by 2015.
Lesanework Zerfu, Head of the Multilateral Trade Relations Department of the Ministry told journalists at a press conference that Ethiopia’s accession to WTO is expected to be finalized in the third quarter of 2015.
Ethiopian horticulture companies are eying South Korean market, following the launch of direct flights to Seoul by Ethiopian Airlines.
The export market for Ethiopian horticultural produces is confined to Europe and the Middle East, while there is huge demand in other parts of the world. Direct flights between Addis Ababa and Seoul is launched on Monday 17 June 2013.An Ethiopian Horticulture Directory designed to include a comprehensive overview of all actors and relevant information in the sector is to be published by Initiative for Transformational Management International and the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine of Jimma University.
The directory is prepared in a manner that allows it to display all the necessary data required to fill an obvious informational gap in the sector explained Getamesay Geremew, Project Manager for ITM, speaking at a press conference held at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel. It is expected that the directory will play a significant role in developing the sector he added.
The new directory will be offered in both a published and digital format the latter to be accessed at the website designed for it explained Getamesay. It is also expected that the directory will be distributed across the world via Ethiopian Embassies he noted.
