Since launching on 27 March 2017, Ethiopian Airlines has firmly established itself at Norway’s main airport. Now they are enhancing their service offering between Addis Ababa and Oslo Airport.
From 11 December, Ethiopian Airlines will be increasing its frequency between Addis Ababa and Avinor Oslo Airport, which means the route will be operated six times a week using Ethiopian’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Ethiopian Airlines has implemented a new policy requiring all foreign international passengers to purchase airline tickets in US dollars, effective July 8, 2024. Previously, foreign travelers could buy tickets using Ethiopian Birr while in Addis Ababa.
Ethiopian Airlines took charge of its first B 777 Freighter this week. The airline is the first operator to take charge of and operate the new aircraft on the African Continent.
The B777 Freighter aircraft is unique for its performance in its category of aircraft with notable long-range capability, special capabilities in temperature control for fresh produce and life science materials, exceptional cargo capacity and fuel efficiency according to Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines.
The airline intends to deploy this aircraft on longer routes to transport fruits and vegetables and flowers to expand and improve the cargo services it offers as well as supporting the fast growing export sector in the country he said.
Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopia’s flag carrier, announced that it has taken charge of the Boeing 737-800 Sky Interior Aircraft
ordered in December 2009.
The company is focused on investing in modernizing its fleet and the new 737-800 Sky Interior aircraft built with high technology to provide customers with the comfort and style to enhance the air travel experience according to Tewolde Gebre-mariam, Chief Executive of Ethiopian Airlines.
The airline expects to deploy the new Sky Interior to East African tourist destinations such as Daressalam, Mombassa, Seychelles during day flights and Delhi, Bombay, Dubai and Kuwait at night.
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's largest network operating carrier, celebrated the inauguration of a new four-times-weekly service to Warsaw, Poland, yesterday evening. The launch event was attended by senior government officials from Ethiopia, top executives from Ethiopian Airlines, Przemysław Bobak, Polish Ambassador to Ethiopia, and other esteemed guests.
