Ethiopian Airlines Group is set to harness its logistics hub to distribute products for AliExpress, the Chinese online retail giant. The official launch of AliExpress in Ethiopia will take place on August 22, 2024, at Skylight Hotel, Airport Road. Senior executives from both companies are expected to attend this significant event.
Ethiopian Airlines has announced a strategic partnership with Chapa Financial Technologies to enhance its digital service delivery for passengers. The agreement was signed today by Hailemelekot Mamo, Vice President of Ethiopian Holidays and Digital Sales, and Nael Hailemariam, CEO of Chapa Fintech.

Ethiopian Airlines and IOCC Consulting are now in the final stage in concluding a long-term agreement between the two companies. Ethiopian Airlines is to partner with Kenya Airways (KQ) for joint procurement of aircraft equipment and lower cost of operation.
Commenting on the nature of the said partnership, African Union Commission (AUC) senior air transport expert Ngoe Ndoh said, bilateral arrangements will drive the partnership for the sake of fair competition, and that it will be enhanced by clear competition regulations. The partnership syncs well with AUC's call for open borders throughout Africa for business, trade and leisure travel.
