Ethiopian Airlines and Hibret Bank have launched the first Co-branded debit card tailored to provide Ethiopian Sheba Miles members with bonus miles for their spending using the debit card.
The new debit Card entitles ShebaMiles members to 5 bonus miles for every 100-birr spending made with the Co-Branded Card.
Ethiopian Airlines and the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank (PTA) signed a US$ 22 million loan agreement at Capital Hotel, Addis Ababa, yesterday.
According to the agreement, the loan will used to finance the first phase of the Airline's housing project, which aims to build 1,192 houses for its employees.

Under the agreement, codesharing has been expanded with immediate effect to Ethiopian Airlines-operated flights between Singapore and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital, via Bangkok, and flights between Addis Ababa and Pointe Noire in Congo, Accra in Ghana, Entebbe in Uganda, and Kigali in Rwanda.
Ethiopian Airlines is taking off for a major expansion, adding new routes in Africa and Europe alongside increased flight frequencies. The airline's CEO recently announced plans to boost its domestic and international reach.
Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopia’s flag carrier, announced the launch of nonstop flights to Seychelles from Addis Ababa beginning on
the 1st April of 2012.
The airline is pleased to begin services to Seychelles famous for its beauty and the home of two UNESCO designated World Heritage Sites; the world’s largest raised coral atoll and Praslin’s Vallée de Mai, said to be the site of the original Garden of Eden according to Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian.
