Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopia’s flag carrier, announced the launch of nonstop flights to Seychelles from Addis Ababa beginning on the 1st April of 2012.

The airline is pleased to begin services to Seychelles famous for its beauty and the home of two UNESCO designated World Heritage Sites; the world’s largest raised coral atoll and Praslin’s Vallée de Mai, said to be the site of the original Garden of Eden according to Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian.

Ethiopian Airlines announced expansion of its Asian network with the addition of three new destinations,Ho Chi Minh City, Manila and Seoul, as of June 18.

Ethiopian flights from Addis Ababa to Hong Kong will no longer need to stop in Bangkok; Hong Kong will now be served with a daily non-stop service from Addis Ababa instead of the current four-times-a-week flights routed through Bangkok, the airlines said.

The Board of Management of Ethiopian Airlines Group has announced the appointment of Mesfin Tasew Bekele as CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, effective March 23, 2022. Mr. Mesfin has been chosen a successor to the outgoing CEO, Tewolde GebreMariam, whose resignation due to health issues has been approved by the board.

Ethiopian Airlines announced it has successfully completed a new passenger terminal at its hub Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. The new passenger terminal, the airlines said in a statement sent to 2merkato.com, places emphasis on Bio-Security and Bio-Safety measures.
