United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 disclosed it opened its first African regional office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The new "ultramodern" parking space at Addis Ababa's Meskel Square has gone operational. Part of the Meskel Square public project that cost over 2.5 billion birr, the Meskel Square underground parking space can provide parking to up to 1,400 vehicles at a time.

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia (MoA) to enhance the Ethiopian coffee sector. Director and Representative of UNIDO Ethiopia, Patrizia Calabro, and Minster of Ministry of Agriculture, Oumer Hussein, signed the agreement which involves financial and technical cooperation.
