From Wednesday August, 27, 2014 to Friday August, 29, 2014 Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, is going to host a seminar which intends to open economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs in Africa.
A seminar and workshop aimed at promoting industrial development organized by the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (AACCSA) and Chamber Trade Sweden was launched on Monday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Speaking on the launching of the two-day seminar and workshop, Chamber Trade Sweden CEO Charlotte Kalin said Swedish investors are interested to engage in flower production in Ethiopia.
Ethiopia’s Public Procurement and Property Disposal Service earned 193 million Birr from the disposal of used materials in the just concluded fiscal year. The revenue was generated from the sales of scraps metals, vehicles and other office materials.
Sesame’s price in the international market dropped from U.S. $ 1,200 per ton to U.S. $ 500 in a one month time. This has led exporters of the agricultural product to be hesitant to supply and wait for the price to show any increment.
