Ethiopia Enacts Space Policy into Law
Ethiopia has passed a resolution to enact the Ethiopian Space Policy into law. This will enable Ethiopia to make use of outer space for peaceful purposes, especially enabling it to use space technologies as a stepping stone to overcome economic and social issues it faces.

Ethiopian Airlines leases another Bombardier Q400 from Chorus Aviation. Chorus Aviation made the announcement, adding that it has only been a year since it leased other two new Q400s to Ethiopian.
Nyala Insurance registered a net profit of birr 141.3 million this year, putting it at the top of the private insurance sector in Ethiopia. This is in keeping of its last year's record, at the end of which it scored a net profit less than 22 per cent of its profit this year. Nyala's closest contender, Awash Insurance, stood at birr 128.7 last year. Shareholder return is also highest in the private insurance sector.
The sole telecom service provider in Ethiopia, Ethio Telecom, announced it has made a 10 to 40 per cent tariff reduction on international voice calls, and up to 51 per cent reduction on international short text messaging.
