We have been granted a license as General Contractors Grade Five for the construction of Buildings, Bridges, and Roads, and the Installation of Mechanical &Drainage systems.

The Company has sound technical, financial & administrative capabilities for the expedition of small, medium& large-scale construction projects in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operation & Maintenance of Major Buildings, Roads & All Infrastructure Works.

LAFTO TYPE Construction Engineering PLC is a fully independent firm established with the primary objective of providing civil engineering services to the public as well as private enterprises engaged in the development of various types of economic and social infrastructures.

The firm is independent of commercial, manufacturing, contracting, or government interests that could influence the judgment of its staff on matters connected to the services rendered by the company.

It is fully committed to providing construction services based on the most up-to-date technology and information systems.

It has a well-defined policy to practice a modern quality control technique that is adopted by a few construction companies.

The firm provides construction services either by direct assignment or in association with reputable construction companies. 

LAFTO TYPE Construction Engineering PLC senior management consists of a General Manager and a Technical Manager who are responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm.

The firm was named LAFTO TYPE Construction Engineering PLC General Contractor, with a license of having General Contractor Grade 5.

The reality behind the success of the company is the integrity, stability, and competent managerial staff of the firm, such as heads of finance and administration, and equipment and supply management divisions, and the transparency and participatory managerial capacity of the owner of the company at large.

LEGAL STATUS OF THE COMPANY

LAFTO TYPE Construction Engineering PLC is a certified Contractor, a prequalified prime contractor with the Works and Urban Development Ministry of the country with a capacity rating of Grade V. Copies of certificates and other business licenses are attached in the appropriate place of the document.

SCOPE OF THE SERVICES OF THE COMPANY

LAFTO TYPE Construction Engineering PLC has generally built up its capability to undertake the construction of different types of buildings construction, roads, bridges, and water works.

The major fields of activities that are competently performed by the firm include the construction of Schools, Hospitals, and other health centers, as various Government administrative Office Buildings, etc.

ENGINEERING SERVICE DIVISION

The Engineering Division has two major sections – Planning and Contract Administration and Project Coordinating Branches Head of the division is well experienced in the field of construction of Building and road projects and is responsible for the engineering activities of the company.

He has been working as a construction engineer, project manager, and construction department head in limited construction companies.

As Planning and Contract Administration division head, some of his duties are to follow up and control the overall plans and accomplishments of construction projects of the firm.

He also monitors and evaluates the efficiency and performance of all projects at hand, taking into account the date due the projects are to be completed.

Furthermore, the division strongly supports the firm’s project managers in analyzing and commenting on their major submittals, such as claims, project master work program, work methods, etc., and undertakes the follow-up of their approval from the client’s representatives of the project.

Both branches are headed by experienced engineers who have been working with the company for years of periods.

I. Planning and Contract Administration Branch

• • • Plans the marketing strategy of the company
    • Plan and monitor the delivery schedule of resources for every project
    • Monitor and evaluate the progress, time, and cost of projects
    • Administer the works contract of projects Etc.

II. Project coordinating branch

• • • Contract project managers of projects
    • Facilitate supplies to projects
    • Collect and compile progress reports of projects
    • Visit projects and evaluate their performance
    • Prepare payment certificates and follow up on their status
    • Liaison with clients and contractor’s head office

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLY MANAGEMENT DIVISION

The head of the Equipment and Supply Management Division is. As head of the division, he is responsible for the supply of every requested item from the projects and the maintenance of all equipment of the company.

The division has two branches, namely the equipment maintenance management branch and the supply management branch.

i. Equipment maintenance management branch is responsible for

• • • Taking care of construction machinery and transport vehicles
    • Repair equipment’s on site
    • Keeping history jacket of every piece of equipment
    • Schedule and undertake routine and preventive maintenance of equipment
    • Follow up on the safe operation of equipment on site Etc.

ii. The supply management branch is responsible for

• • • Managing stores at head office and project site
    • Supplying construction materials and spare parts to projects
    • Securing fast-moving items in the store
    • During the safeguarding of materials in the store

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION DIVISION

The head of the division is qualified in accounting at the level of BSc and has sample work experience.

This division undertakes the finance and personnel administrative issues of the company and is responsible for

    • Purchasing necessary items for projects and the company
    • Collecting payments for the projects from the clients
    • Controlling the financial status of the company and every projectAdministering recruitment of employees
    • Supplying salary and petty cash for projects
