Our History
The hospital initially started as a higher clinic in November 2000 to perform affordable optimal clinical services focusing on basic medical services. The company quickly gained favor for timely medical services and received numerous endorsements from loyal patients enabling it to launch a second higher clinic in April 2003 to meet the growing demand for specialized medical services. As the demand for advancement in medical technology, and the need to place the best interest of the patient first increased, it led to the construction and establishment of Teklehaimanot General Hospital in February 2012. Since then it has grown to become a renowned hospital in Ethiopia having loyal patients from all over the country.
TGH is always on continuous progression; currently, the company is planning to start an expansion project that will be operating in full compliance with all national and international requirements as a competitive tertiary comprehensive specialized hospital in East Africa with special service enhancements, intended to address the unmet needs of the country and inbound medical tourism. The project is planned on 4,000M2 property to build at a tertiary level equipped with the best technology which will operate with a bed capacity of 175, for Internal medicine, Surgical, Pediatric, Obstetrics, and gynecology with their subspecialties, and other departments including ENT, ophthalmology, dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, psychiatry, pathology, radiology, and Organ transplants.
