Raxio's Data Center has inaugurated a new facility in Addis Ababa, aiming to boost digital inclusion and extend Ethiopia's ICT infrastructure.

The facility, certified as Tier III and strategically located in Ethiopia's capital, offers secure colocation space for up to 800 racks with 3MW of IT power, catering to the evolving needs of the region's dynamic business environment. It is expected to enhance access to educational, social, and business resources, providing a secure environment for local enterprises. Raxio envisions the facility as a catalyst for economic development, supporting local businesses, government agencies, and attracting regional and international service providers.

According to Raxio, the launch aligns with Ethiopia's digital inclusion goals, extending the ICT infrastructure network and improving access to educational, social, and business resources. Raxio Ethiopia, as a carrier-neutral data center, aims to become a connectivity hub where local and international carriers can interconnect, fostering a hyper-connected, always-on environment with diverse fiber routes.

Raxio Group, established in 2018, is a leading carrier-neutral Tier III data centre operator in Africa, offering best-in-class colocation services. With a presence in multiple African countries, Raxio aims to build a network of interconnected data centres to meet the growing demand across the continent.
