Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has met with the privatization advisory council in order to “evaluate updates on the privatization process,” the Office of the Prime Minister announced.

As Ethiopia moves towards further privatization, putting up state owned enterprises for the involvement of private investors, the advisory council was set up several months back to serve as an oversight body, and to provide expert inputs.

Seeking more foreign direct investment, logistics, telecom, energy and several other sectors are now being prepared for privatization, at several levels of involvement.
