The international conference on Sustainable Industrial Areas (SIA) opened in Addis Ababa today with the aim to attract foreign direct investment to Ethiopia and promote industrialization.

The conference is jointly organized by German Development Agency (GIZ), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and UK’s Department for International Development (DFID). It has also been learnt that it will be a three-day event held from 8th to 10th April, 2019.

The conference, among other things, is comprised of trade fair, fashion show, workshops and site visits to industry parks in Ethiopia.
