Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) concluded agreement worth 59 billion Birr for the construction of 58 road projects.

Commenting on the development acting communication head at the authority, Dereje Hailu, said the contract includes upgrading, rehabilitation and construction of new asphalt roads, across the 9 states. It would cover a total of 3,287 kilometers.

According to Walta Information Center, both local and international contractors are involved in newly signed projects.

During the last fiscal year, ERA completed 17 road projects that costed the Authority 14 billion Birr. That was almost 97 percent of the target set by ERA, 21339 kilometers.
