Dangote Cement PLC, one of the giants in the Ethiopian cement market, disclosed it has made 85.8 million USD during the last fiscal year from its establishment in Ethiopia.

According to Tariku Alemayehu, Sales and Marketing Deputy Manager, the revenue was generated from the export of over 2 million tons of cement. Out of this, more than 1 million USD was obtained from the export to Kenya and Djibouti, he added.

In the aim of boosting its income and reducing its cost, the company built a cement bag manufacturing plant, which produces 120 million bags every year. The cement bag manufacturing plant was constructed at an outlay of 21.5 million USD.
