Ethiopia Earned 104 Million USD from Meat, Honey, Wax, Fodder and Milk & Diary

In the just ended fiscal year, Ethiopia made 104 million USD from the export of meat, honey, wax, fodder products, and milk and dairy. This was disclosed by Ethiopian Meat & Dairy Industry Development Institute

As it stands there are a 468 local investors engaged in meat and dairy production. 186 investors on the other hand are engaged in meat and fodder processing while there are 27 industries in milk and dairy processing. The country also has 65 honey and wax processing investors while another 49 are in the fodder processing business.

During the entire fiscal year, Ethiopia exported 20,525 tons of meat and dairy products.

Ethiopia is known for its huge number of life stock resources. It boasts with 57 million cattle, 29.33 million sheep, 29.11 million goats, 1.16 million camels, and 56.87 million chickens.
