Industry Park in Ethiopia to Acquire ZLD Solution

Ethiopia’s government concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Arvind Envisol, water management company, in the aim of building Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solutions for the country’s industry parks.

Arvind Envisol is the same company that installed ZLD solutions for Hawassa Industrial Park. Following the installation of the solution, the industrial park can treat 11 million liters of waste water per day.

In the aim of strengthening the nation’s economy, Ethiopia is currently developing 10 industrial parks in different states. The parks will be home for international and Ethiopian companies engaged in textiles, apparels, machinery, pharmaceuticals, footwear, food and beverages.

The government decided to use ZLD solutions as it ensures negative impacts of industrialization on the environment are minimized. Hence, the MoU was signed with the water management company.

In addition to this Arvind Envisol is expected to partner with the government to equip industries and factories outside industrial parks with latest and most effective water treatment technologies.
