Ethiopia: Ethiopian Started Flying to Madagascar

Ethiopian AirlinesEthiopia’s national flag carrier, Ethiopian Airlines, started flying to Madagascar. The inaugural flight to the Antananarivo Ivato International Airport was made on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 while having President Hery Rajaonarimampianina and his wife on board.

The inaugural flight took place when the President was returning home from China along with the First Lad and other government officials.

According to Malagasy Presidential Press Service the Airline will fly to Madagascar from Addis Ababa 3 times a week.
Ethiopia will be using Boeing 737-800 to serve its clients for the trip to Madagascar.

The Malagasy authorities are positive about the commencement of the flight service as they aim for 1 million international visitors by 2020.
