Tigray State’s Revenue Authority disclosed that it has managed to collect a total of 2 billion Birr revenue in the first 6 months of the current fiscal year.

Commenting on the matter, Shewit Hagos, Senior Revenue Plan Preparation Expert, said the plan was to collect 3.65 billion Birr by July 7.

Compared to the Authority’s performance in the past fiscal year for the same period, there is 1.93 million Birr increase. According to Shewit, awareness creation trainings given to the business community and promotion of issuance of receipt for transactions boosted the Authority’s revenue.
