Ethiopia: Dashen’s Former President Appointed as Nile’s CEO

Former Dashen Bank S.C., Lulseged Tefen, is appointed as the new CEO of another financial institution in Ethiopia, Nile Insurance Company S.C. It was only in December 2016 that Lulseged was appointed as the Special Advisor to Nile.

Lulseged is now 69 years old and he has been in the financial industry for more than 35 years. He held senior posts at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and the former Construction and Business Bank (CBB). He was a General Manager at the Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) for a year. He then became the first CEO of Nile Insurance from 1995 to 1996.

It was after leaving his job at Nile Insurance that he joined Dashen Bank, where he later became president of the company.

The newly appointed president of Nile Insurance studied business administration at the Addis Ababa University and graduated in 1973.

It was only a while ago that Nile Insurance’s former CEO, Melaku Sissay, left his position.
