Delegation team led by China Poly Group Chairman, Yu Baodong, met with President Mulatu Teshome to discuss on the progress of the oil and gas project in Ethiopia.,

During the meeting Mulatu assured the Chairman that Ethiopia is committed to extend support to China Poly Group in its effort. The basis of our cooperation is the excellent relationship of the two countries,’’ he noted.

The President also appreciated China’s comprehensive economic cooperation and insisted the company to continue its cooperation in areas of capacity building regarding the mega projects Ethiopia is undertaking in the Second Growth and Transformation Plan.

“We hope that through the cooperation of this great project in Ogaden we can play a vital role in the development of Ethiopia and enhance business’’, Baodong on his part said. “China Poly Group Corporation has always made full use of the opportunities availed in the sectors it is engaged in Ethiopia. The company will further work with the governments of Ethiopia and China to play a significant role in the development of the great country of Ethiopia.”

According to the Chairman, his company took part not only in the gas project in Somali State but also in providing turbine generators to the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and ship building.

Baodong also noted that his company is working in collaboration with Metal and Engineering Corporation (METEC).
