Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) has made a procurement of spare parts that is worth 1 billion USD. The spare parts are for power plants.

According to Fana Broadcasting Corporation, the spare parts are said to be used for Gibe I and II, Beles, Fincha, Koka, Tekeze and Tis Abay hydropower dams.

The aim of the procurement is to quickly fix power plants whenever they encounter problems, Andarge Eshete, General Manager of Power Generation Operation at EEP, explained.
