4 flower growing companies from the Netherlands have reached to an agreement with Amhara Regional State Investment Commission to work together with the commission. According to Melaku Alebel, Amhara Regional State Investment Commissioner, the companies are expected to come to Ethiopia and sign the deals in 2 weeks time.

The parties made the agreement on November 6, 2016 at a trade fair and exhibition held at the capital of Netherlands.

According to Melaku, 2 of the companies are investing in Kenya and Ecuador on the same business. The other 2 companies, on the other hand, namely Friendship and Plorit Fresh, have already invested in Ethiopia’s flower growing business.
