Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has concluded a 20 million USD loan agreement with Ethiopia. The agreement was signed in Vienna, Austria.

According to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation, the loan is set to be used for upgrade Hamusit –Este gravel road which stretches for 76.8 kilometers.

Once the road is upgraded, the residents are said to benefit from transport service and market access.
