The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) is going to ratify the revised draft proclamation on overseas employment in two weeks time, Fana Broadcasting Corporate (FBC) reported.

The Social Affairs Standing Committee of the HPR, on November 25, 2015, organized a forum to discuss on the draft proclamation.

At the forum, stakeholders and section of the society that has close connection to the matter gave comments on the draft proclamation.

Participants at the discussion said the newly revised proclamation has said significant to address the challenges and secure benefits of Ethiopians traveling for work overseas.

The draft bill is going to be approved in the coming two weeks as the input gathering programs were completed, Chairperson of the Social Affairs Standing Committee Abeba Yosef told FBC.

It was indicated that Ethiopia, to safeguard the well-being of its people, had temporarily banned its citizens from traveling overseas for work.
